Going Care Bear

My sister-in-law has a great story about when she was a kid, she loved Care Bear Waffles.  So much so that her dad went out and bought it by the case-load.  After eating just a dent of the inventory he had brought home, she announced she no longer wanted the Care Bear Waffles, leaving boxes and boxes in the freezer uneaten until they were eventually thrown out.  Since then, the family actively uses the term "Going Care Bear" or "I Care-Beared..." as a description of over-indulgence.

Case-in-point: I Care Beared those chalky little Valentine's Day conversation hearts.  I ate so many last month that I can't even look at the extra bags I gleefully purchased... which are headed straight to the garbage.

But my attention is now turned to another seasonal favorite: Cadbury Mini-Eggs, which are nearly impossible to Care Bear.  I mean it.

When I was pregnant with my first daughter I craved Mrs. T’s potato pierogies and ate them by the dozen. My husband went out and bought the biggest bag of pierogies you ever did see and presented me the gift with a huge smile on his face, certain that for once during the ups and downs of my pregnancy he had done something right or at least helpful. Little did he know that very morning Mrs T’s pierogies and I had a slight disagreement (read morning sickness). To this day I really can’t look Mrs. T in the face without my stomach doing a flip flop.

They are the best and I can't get any or I will eat an ENTIRE bag in one sitting.
