The formula for storage

Griffin, the littlest of the Gravy Kids, is wrapping up his need for baby formula as he soon will turn one year old. This is much to our relief because heaven knows how pricey those little cans of formula can be. For a while, the empty cans were building up to be sent for recycling, but then it was realized how handy they can be for a variety of storage. So, we got our craft on:

We weren't consistent on brand over the past year, so the cans delightfully varied in size.

Using a precision knife, slice through the label and peel carefully. You'll want to try to retain the label in one piece.

Voila! One naked can and one label to use as your pattern.

Choosing a paper with a somewhat busy pattern is very forgiving in terms of final alignment. We decided on a lovely double-sided gift wrap.

Using the label as your pattern, cut the paper to size.

Adhere glue to the sides of the can and to the interior of the paper which will not be seen. Then, carefully wrap the paper around the can. Use an elastic band to hold in place while drying, if necessary.

In about five minutes, you'll have a new, pretty little storage can.

Thanks to the double-sided gift wrap, we now have a complete set!

Fit to be tied

After designing her mother's baby shower invitations several months ago, we were so honored to create little Leigh's birth announcements when she finally arrived. Using a chocolate brown and pink motif, we wrapped Leigh's photo with a pink polka dotted ribbon and included a tag to showcase her birthday and stats.

Baby blues

We can't get enough of the brown/blue color combination. This shower invitation also reflects the planned nursery theme for Janie and Ethan's anticipated baby boy.

Robo-bowling

We received an interesting challenge last month: develop a child's birthday invitation which incorporates robots... and bowling. Robots, got it. Bowling, no problem. But both? This was certainly fun.

Valentine's Day gift tags

We're pleased to introduce our Valentine's Day gift tags. Featured above is one of three designs in the assortment. They're perfect to add that special touch to your gifts.

Cupcake flags

Just in time for Valentine's Day are our Be Mine Cupcake Flags. While these particular flags are not customizable, we are able to create custom cupcake flags for special occasions, like we did for this birthday party:

For Emma's cupcake flags, we used a glass pink bead to round out the delicate theme of her birthday party. Quite sweet!

Unavoidable sweetness

This photo was taken last weekend after a slew of delicious candy conversation hearts were used to highlight our new spring stationery.

While it looked a bit odd purchasing several bags of these chalky little treats in December, it was an unavoidable weakness. Truth be told, the photo staging was a thinly-veiled excuse just to eat them.

It's all in the details

For Thanksgiving, we created custom place cards for a client whose entire table setting looked simply amazing.
Please let us know how we can put the finishing touches on your special event. Should it be mentioned that we gladly accept dinner invitations?

Vroom, vroom

These sweet, tiny fold-over thank you cards were made for one of our littlest clients Noah. Produced on heavy, textured cardstock, these note cards accompanied an order for Noah's first birthday invitations.
