The story of a injured ligament isn't as fun as coming up with some clever line to strangers who ask about the cast. I've considered changing the story to that one time I was in a super ninja fight, or how I busted it falling off a bar stool.
Anything is better than "I got rear-ended big time by an elderly driver. In November. And yes, it still hurts." Feel free to share an outlandish story idea I can use while out and about this weekend.
"I was doing some ninja stuff, you know, the regular routine. That 104th cement block might have been a little over the top..."

...they had to break it to remove part of my bone to donate kids in poor countries that needed reconstruction... way more sympathy than a hurt arm...or go the high five route - broke it backhanding my husband for leaving the seat up again...

ReplyDeleteI feel for you, my left arm is in a cast too! I'm back in a cast for another two weeks; not only is my wrist broken, but I've got a bone chip and it punctured a tendon.
