"Docile" hardly describes this dog. I'm all for a quiet and docile personality like Jack's, but where Jack will greet us at the door with a smile and a "hey, you're back and I love you" expression, this other dog was completely inattentive and gave us the impression he'd say, "Oh, geez. Not you again." So, we passed on this cute little guy.

Good to not just jump on the first opportunity! The kids will be happy in the long run, especially when you find one that will mesh better with the fam!

aw! i am so happy to hear you are going to adopt another pup but so sad to hear that the first dog was not reciprocating the luv:( i hope he/she gets adopted eventually. i hate kill shelters-i can't deal.
i got my polo pupster from a shelter-he has been the very best $38 i have ever spent! i want another but dave won't go for it. he says we travel too much and it is already expensive to board polo-he does have a point but it would be so cute to have another furry friend around for polo...maybe someday.

Oh he is cute. Hopefully you will find the right match soon. It will be hard to find another dog like Jack, but you will love the new dog for other reasons. Glad to see you guys are going thru the Shelter. There are so many cats and dogs there that need homes!
